The race for the 2024 Grammy Awards is very close.

Hey, look! It's Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift! Now that the 2024 Grammy nominations are out, it looks like there will be a lot of tough competition. 

Records must have come out between October 1, 2022, and September 15, 2023, in order to be nominated for the 2024 Grammy Awards. 

There are 94 categories and awards to be given out on February 4, 2024. There is one general field and eleven specific genre fields.

The show will happen at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. From 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET, it will be live-streamed on CBS and Paramount+.

The general field includes well-known awards like the coveted Album of the Year award.

There are also eleven specific areas, which are: 1. Pop and dance/electronic music; 2. Rock, metal, and alternative music; 3. R&B, rap, and spoken word music; 4. Jazz,

traditional pop, modern instrumental music, and musical theater; 5. Country and American roots music. (6) Gospel and Modern Christian, (7) Chant, Latin, Global, Reggae, and New Age music, (8) Books for kids

 comedies, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, and music videos/films (9) Classical, (10) Production, Engineering, Composition, and Arrangement, and (11), Package, Notes, and Historical. 

The awards show this year will have three new categories: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording.
