Brian Kelly, head coach of the LSU football team, shared his opinion on the 2023 college football Heisman Trophy competition.
With a Tiger in the mix, it's natural for Kelly to be biased, but he doesn't think so.
He does believe that Jayden Daniels is the undisputed winner.
"In my unbiased opinion, Jayden Daniels is the best player in college football," Kelly stated, according to On3 Sports' Sam Gillenwater
Kelly discussed the candidates, stating that he had the opportunity to watch the Pac-12 Championship with two other contenders, Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix.
The Tigers' season comes down to a final game against the Wisconsin Badgers in the ReliaQuest Bowl, but it's unknown whether Daniels will play.
"I was watching the game as well, yes." But I wasn't looking for anyone to fail. I wanted them to give it their all.
I was hoping for a spectacular game and for both sides to perform at their peak.
"But I wanted to see how he stacked up against his main rival," Kelly explained.
The winner of the Heisman Trophy will be determined on December 9th, when the finalists travel to New York for the ceremony.
