Every year, the top quarterback prospects dominate the NFL Draft discourse, and the 2024 class is no exception.
This year's best passers include USC's Caleb Williams and North Carolina's Drake Maye,
but there are a few other strong signal-callers worth considering in the first round. How many of them will make it into the top 32 come April?
According to CBS Sports' most recent 2024 NFL mock draft, only two additional quarterbacks will join Williams and Maye as first-round picks this time around.
This projection has Williams going first overall to the Chicago Bears, with Maye going second to the New England Patriots
Following that, LSU's Jayden Daniels is the second quarterback off the board, landing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the No. 10 pick.
He'll be joined by Michigan's J.J. McCarthy, who will go to the Seattle Seahawks in the 15th round.
The biggest surprise in this group is who doesn't get called in the first round, as Washington's Michael Penix Jr. and Oregon's Bo Nix aren't included in this
projection, despite being Heisman Trophy finalists alongside Daniels (as is Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.).
