Enjoy homemade pitas with just three ingredients: flour, baking powder, and Greek yogurt. These pitas are perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3¾ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups 0% or 2% Greek yogurt (or sour cream)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in the yogurt with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.
  • Divide the dough into two large balls.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball into a thin circle or oval shape.
  • Heat a cast iron pan over medium to medium-high heat and lightly drizzle with olive oil.
  • Cook each pita for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown patches appear.
  • Repeat with the remaining dough.

  • These pitas can be used as a base for pizzas, cut into triangles and baked for pita chips, or enjoyed warm with your favorite dip.
