Clairton crash following shooting on Miller Avenue

A man is dead after apparently being shot and crashing in Clairton overnight.Allegheny County police said county dispatch was alerted to a single-vehicle wreck in the 600 block of Miller Ave around 10:54 p.m. Friday. There, first responders found a 51-year-old man inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest.The man was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He was declared dead just after midnight Saturday.The mayor of Clairton, Rich Lattanzi, confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News that the victim was Victor “Vic” Musgrove. Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey posted on Musgrove’s death, saying they had been friends for over 40 years. “My heart is heavy right now,” he wrote on Facebook. “Please say a prayer for his family and FiancĂ© Nakia Walls.”Homicide detectives have started an investigation.
